Morgan Stanley Projects $133 Billion Robotics Revenue for Apple by 2040
Morgan Stanley analysts project Apple could generate $133 billion annually from humanoid robotics by 2040, assuming a 9% market share. The tech giant is reportedly developing a tabletop robotic arm with an iPad-like display, leveraging its $130 billion cash reserves and 2.3 billion-device install base.
The investment bank estimates 415,000 humanoid robots could be adopted by U.S. households yearly by 2040, priced at $30,000 per unit. Apple's dormant self-driving car project has reportedly supplied foundational research for its robotics division.
"Few investors fully appreciate Apple's positioning in intelligent machines," wrote Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring, highlighting the company's unique advantages in this emerging sector. The projections echo late-1990s tech bubble optimism, with some observers cautioning against narrative-driven valuations.
